Monitoring XML files for raising alerts

Hi there,

I have a scenario wherein alerts are being logged by the application in an
XML file and I need to skim the XML file for patterns and raise the alerts
accordingly in SCOM.

Is there any possiblity of monitoring XML files through SCOM?

any help in this regard is appreciated.
